Lamont Farm Project is Scotland’s first city farm, founded in 1977 to create a place where animal welfare, education and community come together. For nearly five decades, the farm has provided a safe and caring home for rescued animals — from ducks, hens, goats and horses to some more unusual residents — ensuring every animal is treated with compassion and respect. When rehoming isn’t possible, animals are given a permanent place in the Lamont family, meaning there is always a new friendly face to meet on the farm.

As a registered Scottish charity, Lamont Farm Project relies heavily on donations to continue its vital work. Every contribution helps cover daily feed, veterinary care, housing, and the upkeep of this much-loved community space. Your support ensures the farm remains open, welcoming and thriving — allowing future generations to learn about animals, nature and kindness in a safe, hands-on environment.
