Why We Don’t Use Discount Codes for Charities

At Scotia Town & Country, we’ve made a conscious decision not to use discount codes for the charity wishlist pages— and there’s a good reason for it.

Discount codes are often shared, reused, and passed around, which means they quickly stop being a genuine reward and instead get abused on everyday orders. That makes pricing unfair for other customers and puts pressure on small independent businesses like ours.

Instead, we do something more meaningful.

Rather than taking money off orders, we add a percentage on top of eligible purchases and donate it directly to animal charities and rescues we support. This way, every order helps animals in need — not just the person using a code.

It allows us to keep pricing fair, support our suppliers, and make sure your purchase always creates a positive impact.

No discount codes. No misuse. Just honest pricing and real support for animals.
